Started in 1978 by Rob’s uncle Murray, Murray’s Carpet Services has been family owned for more than 40 years, servicing thousands of happy customers throughout the Bay of Plenty.

Uncle Murray had the business for 15 years before handing the reins over to Rob’s brother, Justin, who ran it for a further 15 years. The current owner - Rob bought the business back in 2008, when Justin decided to move on to other challenges.

Rob takes a lot of pride in the Murrays name, a name that has become synonymous with service and quality 
over the years. "Our focus is to make our customers happy in the hope that they will not only use us for future work, but to also recommend us to their friends and family," says Rob.

"We offer carpet and upholstery cleaning and stain removal, minor carpet repairs and flood salvage. The flood salvage includes water extraction, cleaning (if necessary) and drying of carpet, walls, floors and underlay and is generally covered by your contents insurance." We also do our best to help with stain and odour removal. "There are a lot of great new products on the market that can help eliminate stains and odours and we’ve helped numerous customers save money by not having to replace carpet this way," says Rob.
